hope in humanity

{all photos courtesy of yours truly}

This weekend I volunteered at Pelotonia as a photographer. What an emotionally amazing event. Pelotonia is a grassroots bike tour to end cancer. 100% of dollars raised goes to innovative cancer research at The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center - James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute. The riders crossing the finish line at Slate Run Metro Park had ridden 80 miles from Athens, Ohio that day, and a 101 miles from Columbus to Athens the day before. They are dedicated, determined, passionate people. They give me hope in humanity. Next year, I hope to join them on the road.

Very cool from someone is way too close and personal with cancer! What an amazing thing!
