today i dressed like a bruise

First, I want to say congratulations to Leah for winning my Glam Grab giveaway! P.S. There is a giveaway on her blog!

Second, I want to congratulate my girl/penpal Kelly @ Messy.Dirty.Hair for reaching 1,000 followers! She's amazing, folks. And if you don't read her blog, well, that's just a shame. There are a couple giveaways on Kelly's blog too, i.e. here and here (this one is actually on Annelise's blog).

Third, I'm guest posting over on Jade's blog talking about how to master the art of indecision. Because my inability to make decisions is definitely an art form. Or at least Shawn would probably argue that it is :)

Finally, happy Thirsty Thursday, my sweet friends! I have a date with some super fly ladies after class to catch up and sip some vino. Clinkies (stole that from one of the spam emails I got this week. Clever spammers.)!

Now, we can get started.
I have absolutely no idea where this post will go, but I thought I owed you some entertainment today, or at least my attempt at entertaining you all for being such awesome sauce readers!
You're welcome.

Oh! Light bulb just went off.
I haven't done an outfit post in awhile, so feast your eyes on this little number:

{jacket, tee, shoes: Target. skirt: thrifted. necklace: Forever 21 (old)}

Black and blue. Yep, I dressed like a bruise.
But cuter, no?
Wasn't there a time when pairing black and blue together was a faux pas?
Now, I feel like faux pas are all the rage.
Gosh, I'm so trendy.

I should have warned you or titled this post, "grab a pair of sunglasses before reading."
I can't be this pale yet. No, no, no, no, no. It's only September.
Commence use of more sunless tanner and perhaps a spray tan.
Although, if I keep this up, I'll have an inexpensive Halloween costume.

Anyway, I was reading one my faves blog's and per the usual, I thought to myself, "me too!"
Like Chelsea, I have gotten into a habit of shopping at the same stores - lately Old Navy and Target.
Typically, I'm left with shopper's high, but lately I've been underwhelmed.
I feel out of touch with my shopping addiction.
That must mean I'm cured, right? Either that or I'm broke.
Well, in two weeks (that's when mama gets paid. remember how I only get paid once a month and how much that sucks?), I have plans to shop til I drop! Within reason, of course.
But I have already made a list in my phone of places I want to peruse {insert: H&M, Forever 21, JC Penney, Kohl's, TJ Maxx, Marshall's} just to switch it up a little and get out of this funk.
I'm sure a change of shopping scenery is what the doctor would order.
That and a vacation.
Who wants a visitor?

And, in conclusion, a cute picture of my niece:

All together now, "AWWWWWWWWWW!"

Cheerio, meh ladies!
