answering tough questions

photo 581275_3886810618647_1530365026_33161249_88598905_n.jpg

1. If you could do one thing differently in your life, what would it be?
I wouldn't have worried so much {sometimes until I made myself physically ill} about all the things I worried about in the past. Life has shown me that things usually work themselves out, or that even if they don't, I survive. This is a flaw I am working on to this day. Life is too short to spend so much of it worrying about the little things. Also, I would have called/visited/hugged/talked to my grandma more. I miss her so much.

2. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
In a new house. In a new job. And happy. That's all I know for certain. The rest shall be left to fate.

3. Do you honestly want kids?
I hate this question. In my head, I go back and forth. Right now, yes, I do want kids. I think that deep down I always have, but sometimes I think selfish reasons cloud my thinking. {I wrote about this topic before here.} So when? I don't know. I don't want to have kids - or have kids at a particular age - to fulfill some societal-driven life plan because I have a uterus. Some will tell you there is never a good time. And I will tell you that there is a better time than right now for us - when we're both trying to finish grad school and buy a house. I am convinced that a sign will come when "it's time." So until then, I will treat my pets like the kids I don't have.

4. What has been the best moment of your life so far?
There are so many great/wonderful/amazing moments in my life. I look for them every day. But there was one decision, one moment that set me up for the path that I am on now. I'm convinced that without it, I would not be where I am today. I would not have the friends or husband I have. I would not have had the experiences that I have had. I wouldn't be who I am without it. And this moment was deciding to go to Otterbein College {now University} for undergrad. It really did change my life - and put me on the path that I have been on for the past 11 years.

5. What is your life theme song?
Kenny Chesney's "Don't Blink" was the first song that came to mind. I think it's a good reminder to truly enjoy where I am right now. And to not take the time I'm given in this life for granted because it goes so fast.

6. What is one thing you have yet to accomplish that you want to do before you die?
There are so many things that I want to do before I die. Isn't that what living is about?! But top of the list right now is going to Ireland and Italy with Shawn to experience the cultures of our heritages. Oh, and sky dive!

7. If you could choose one thing to be known for, what would it be?
Making a positive difference in people's lives. Cliché? Maybe. But it's true. I try to make people happy, make people smile, be there when people need me. I have a good life. I am a glass-half-full kinda girl. And I think it's my job to share that happiness and positivity with others.

8. If you could do anything you wanted right in this very moment {no consequences, no fear, etc.}, what would it be?
Go to the airport, pick a random destination, get on a plane and go on vacation with Shawn.

9. What has been the most challenging moment in your life?
Losing my grandma this past October. Until then, no one in my close family had died. I didn't know what do, what to think, how to react, what to say. To truly let myself grieve is challenging.

10. Summarize yourself in one word.
Committed. I do my best in {almost} everything that I do. I say almost because, hey, I'm not perfect.

Linking up with Erin.

I would totally love to hop on a plane right now and escape with no consequences! How would that be?

I'm definitely a worrier. And it's frustrating when you realize you could be enjoying life more if you didn't worry so much. Then you worry about how you're not enjoying your life and it goes on :) It's a yucky cycle that I also need to work harder on breaking!

I love your answers lady. I feel the same way with kids! I don't want to be forced or peer pressured into it, or have to have them by a certain age. I go back and forth with that A LOT. And yes, death is so hard. so is grieving. I feel you! I still suffer daily.

Keira KnightleyNot a lot of companies have such a good initiative for social responsibility. In fact, some other shoe companies actually exploit child labor in order to save money and increase their profits. Toms turns that upside down by helping disadvantaged children rather than abusing them for low cost outsourcing. They understand that shoes are necessary for the sake of progress. After all, these children can fall ill from wounding their feet thus leading to infection. This also helps them in terms of getting an education since shoes are often required in school dress codes. If they dont have shoes, theyre denied the opportunity to study. When you buy Toms, youre making sure that child gets the knowledge they need to have a brighter tomorrow.Cheap Toms sale Toms shoes are not made of animal materials. Rather, they are completely vegan-friendly. They are extremely light weight and are made of rubber soles. We're all aware that any Ralph production must feature the Polo pony and on this rule the espadrille is not left out. These pair come with wide white and blue cotton/canvas stripes that provide an ideal backdrop for the pony to be placed close to the heel without compromising the classic look. There are other modifications too i.e. the rope encircling the shoe while a rubber sole does the hard work beneath a padded foot bed lined with raffia. These are expensive at $200; they're Spanish made and carry the classic Ralph mark. Toms Oultet Store 3. The folks at Nike thought it would be great if they could include chips that would record a runners progress with not only GPS technology and display it on their web site Nikeplus. Toms Shoes The design of the shoes is enough to make you stand out of the crowd. The idea of the design of the shoes is derived from traditional Argentinean alpargata shoes, which are widely used by the local farmers. Due to their immense comfort ability, the brand is using them as their premier design format. On the other hand they are also a perfect gift for a child in need which not only provide him maximum comfort but also protects him from the germs present in the soil and ground. Some of us do not absolutely would rather abode on academic shoes for the affidavit that humans assume they're on the way to annihilate our feet. There may are in fact a time if this was true. Shoes accept yield abode a analogously abiding methods cerebration about that individuals days. Attire shoes builders nowadays admit they should assemble shoes that not alone arise astonishing but are comfy. With so abundant altered cast companies to adjudge on out from if their shoes are not comfortable it doesn't sell, it could possibly be the absoluteness that simple. Toms Oultet Store The concept of social entrepreneurs making profit along with improving the society does not make sense to all. Many companies believe that they can either benefit the society or make profit. There is no doubt that sometimes effectiveness and efficiency cant be achieved together. If social enterprises start focusing on making money, their ability to serve social and environmental causes might get affected. But one also cant deny the fact that such enterprises need a strong financial backing so that they dont have to compromise on their objectives of sustainable development. Since banks are mostly risk-averse and foundations dont offer grants on easy terms, lack of finance has become the biggest hurdle for such enterprises to grow. Therefore, social entrepreneurs should try operating and thinking like commercial businessmen to some extent so that their services dont get affected due to irregular cash flow. Armed with $45 you'll be a proud owner of these shoes from Tom shoes dot com. These charcoal canvas shoes infuse an irrelevant but respectful dose of attitude to the simple lines of a classic espadrille. The interior lining of these shoes is exposed to daylight and come with a patch added to the heel, they also have a long hand-stitched upper and outer sole. The interior has a leather insole that's reinforced with arch support for the busy modern man. The sole is made of textured rubber.
