avoiding atrophy + $25 target gift card giveaway

Today marks the official end of my staycation. The last two weeks were awesome. Obviously, going back to work after so much time off is not awesome, but I do have a treat for you.

This is Christy. Isn't she pretty? She's also the super cool, funny blogger behind Avoiding Atrophy. Christy answered some questions for me {they are all about Christmas, so let's just skip over the fact that I should have posted this awhile ago and reflect once again on the most wonderful time of year}.

Tell me about your blog.
Avoiding Atrophy is a lifestyle/humor blog all about celebrating the unpolished aspects of life. I write candidly, sharing my mistakes and bits of wisdom on a variety of topics -- from relationships to work to writing to pop culture to cats.

Tell me 5 things on your Christmas list.
1. Dresses and pretty girl things that I can never get enough of
2. Hand-written letters are always on the top of my list
3. A DSLR camera
4. A photography lesson to use said camera
5. A gift card to Home Depot because I'm about to start some big renovations in my new apartment

If you could give only one gift this holiday season, what would it be and to whom would you give it?
I would give my husband a killer planner to get his New Year started off on the right foot.

Tell me about one holiday tradition you do with your family/friends/significant other.
My husband and I always listen to Motown Christmas while we decorate our tree.

What is the one thing you always wanted as a child for Christmas but did not get?
Oh man, I always wanted a My Size Barbie, but my parents were weirdly opposed to the idea. I would buy myself one today, but she probably wouldn't be my size :(

And because the after holiday sales are still going strong, we're giving away a $25 Target gift card. Good luck!

Hope your new year is off to a great start! Go check out Christy's post on her word for 2015!
